|
HB 1491- This act provides that the Family Support Division of the Department of Social Services shall determine whether an individual applying for Medicaid is eligible for federal medical services from the Missouri Veterans Commission. If an applicant or recipient is eligible for such services, the division shall urge and encourage the applicant to receive medical services through the Veterans Commission. In addition, the division shall consult with the Veterans Commission regarding a method for determining whether an applicant or recipient of state medical assistance benefits is eligible for veterans' benefits. This act does not require an individual to exhaust any federal veterans' benefits prior to receiving state medical assistance. ADRIANE CROUSE
