SCS/HB 258 - The wage rate at which employers are required to pay tipped employees shall change from the present rate of $3.525 to $3.63 once the rate changes on July 24, 2009 and shall be capped at that amount. The Department of Labor and Industrial Relations is required to use the same prevailing hourly rate for an occupational title in effect on March 10 of the year the wage determination is being made if no rates were paid generally within the locality for an occupational title within that year.
