SCS/HCS/HB 1544 - This act would allow the state to continue to receive extended federal unemployment benefit funds until the week ending 4 weeks before the last week of unemployment for which one hundred percent federal sharing is available under federal law or March 3, 2011, whichever occurs first. Individuals are allowed to participate in the shared work program for 52 weeks instead of the current cap of 26 weeks during the 12-month period of the shared work plan.
This act contains an emergency clause.
