HB 1052 - The act adds to the description of the practice of professional land surveyors work which involves creating, preparing, or modifying electronic or computerized data relative to the survey and location of rights-of-way and easements. The survey and location of rights-of-way and easements are not exclusive to professional land surveyors unless the survey affects real property rights, as defined in current law. The act also states that any document prepared by a provider of utility or communications services between August 27, 2014, and the effective date of the act shall remain valid even though it was not prepared by a professional land surveyor.
The act is identical to SCS/SB 499 (2015).
