This act prohibits the Lottery Commission, the State Lottery, or any organization with whom the state has contracted to operate the state lottery, or employees of any of the above from publishing the name, address, or other identifying information of any person who wins the state lottery unless the person has provided written consent.
This provision is identical to HB 2769 (2016), HCS/HB 2515 (2016) and HB 2422 (2016) and is similar to HB 2374 (2016).
ADDRESS CONFIDENTIALITY PROGRAM - 589.660 & 589.663
Under current law, the Secretary of State administers a program to protect victims of domestic violence, rape, sexual assault, or stalking by assigning substitute addresses to such victims. State and local government agencies must accept the substitute address when creating public records relating to a participant in the program.
This act provides that victims of human trafficking may also participate in the program.
This provision is identical to HB 1396 (2016), the truly agreed to and finally passed HCS/HB 1562 (2016), and SB 211 (2015).
