Current Bill Summary

SB 280 - Under current law, assistant physicians and advanced practice registered nurses in a collaborative practice arrangement with a physician shall maintain a geographic proximity to such physician. Physician assistants in a collaborative agreement with a physician shall practice only at locations within a geographic proximity that is determined by the Board of Registration for the Healing Arts.

Under this act, the geographic proximity requirement is waived when such providers are providing care to a client of an alternatives to abortion agency.

This act is identical to HCS/HB 420 (2019).
