SB 373 - Under current law, as used in the Holocaust Education and Awareness Commission Act, the term "holocaust" is defined as the period from 1933 through 1945 when 6 million Jews and millions of others were murdered in Nazi concentration camps as part of a structured, state-sanctioned program of genocide. This act removes "in Nazi concentration camps" from the definition of "holocaust". This act is substantially similar to a provision contained in SCS/HCS/HB 266 (2019), SS#2/SCS/HCS/HB 604 (2019), and HCS/SB 468 (2019). JOSIE BUTLER
