Current Bill Summary

SCS/SB 414 - Currently, no party other than the owner of a liquified petroleum gas tank can supply liquified petroleum gas to the liquified petroleum gas tank.

This act authorizes a party other than the owner of a liquified petroleum gas tank to supply liquified petroleum gas to the liquified petroleum gas tank after a hearing before the executive director of the Missouri Propane Safety Commission. The hearing shall be held within seven business days after providing notice to the owner of the container. The owner shall have an opportunity to be heard at the hearing. After the hearing is complete, the Director shall issue an order as to whether the container has been abandoned and whether any other person may fill such container. The Director's decision shall last for up to thirty days and may be renewed for additional thirty day periods.

Under the act, any such person authorized by the Director's order to supply liquified petroleum gas to liquified petroleum gas container shall be immune from any civil liability for supplying liquified petroleum gas to any such container.
