SB 604 - Current law reduces the video service provider fee that a franchise entity may collect. This act modifies the reduction out as follows: - Beginning August 28, 2026, rather than August 28, 2023, 4.5% of gross revenues;
- Beginning August 28, 2027, rather than August 28, 2024, 4% of gross revenues;
- Beginning August 28, 2028, rather than August 28, 2025, 3.5% of gross revenues;
- Beginning August 28, 2029, rather than August 28, 2026, 3% of gross revenues; and
- Beginning August 28, 2030, rather than August 28, 2027, and continuing thereafter, 2.5% of gross revenues.
Completion of the Task Force on the Future of Right-of-Way Management and Taxation report of its activities for submission to the General Assembly shall be submitted no later than December 31, 2024, instead of December 31, 2023, as currently provided. The Task Force shall expire on December 31, 2026, instead of on December 31, 2023, as currently provided.
This act is identical to a provision in HCS/HB 928 (2023).
