Current Bill Summary

SB 6 - This act modifies the requirements for access to juvenile court proceedings and records. The general public is no longer excluded from juvenile court proceedings if the juvenile is accused of acts analogous to a Class A, B or C felony or involving the destruction of property in excess of seven hundred fifty dollars.

A court order is now available to the general public for access to the juvenile proceeding record in any of the above cases.

The destruction of property in excess of seven hundred fifty dollars is added to the list of violations required to be disclosed in the presentence report.
