SB 118 - This act amends a provision contained in
Proposition A, approved by the voters on November 8, 1994.
Proposition A requires that after an election, candidates with
surplus funds donate the excess to the state or return it to
contributors. This act would also allow candidates to donate the
money to a charitable organization. Such donations were
allowable prior to the passage of Proposition A.
