SB 153 - This act provides for the collection of sales taxes by municipalities of the third class, to be used only for public safety related expenses. A sample ballot of submission is provided. The municipality levying the tax may either adopt rules and regulations providing for internal collection of the tax or may allow the Director of Revenue to collect the tax for a fee of 1-3%.
This act has an emergency clause.
