SB 470 - The Division of Transportation in the Department of
Economic Development is given the authority to examine light rail
operations with respect to safety. The Division shall not
regulate rates, hours of service or accomodations of light rail
systems. The Division shall assess its costs of light rail
examination to to light rail operators, limited to 1/4 of 1 cent
per train mile. Assessment payments shall be placed in an
account of the Railroad Expense Fund, to be used by the Division.
