Opportunity for St. Louis Citizens to
Safely Dispose of Unwanted Medication

JEFFERSON CITY — Senator Joe Keaveny, D-St. Louis, would like to highlight an event hosted by the St. Louis College of Pharmacy, the City of St. Louis, and the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration to allow citizens to clean out their medicine cabinets and dispose of unused and unwanted medications safely and in a manner friendly to the environment.

Agents will be present at four Walgreens’ locations in St. Louis to collect these medications between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 27. The Walgreens participating in the event include the stores located at:

  • 4218 Lindell, St. Louis, MO 63108
  • 3822 S. Kingshighway, St. Louis, MO 63109
  • 1530 Lafayette, St. Louis, MO 63104
  • 3720 N. Kingshighway, St. Louis, MO 63115

“This event is an excellent opportunity for citizens to discard their old medications anonymously and free of charge,” Sen. Keaveny said. “By turning medications in to these locations, citizens can rest assured that the medications will not end up in inappropriate hands and the drugs will be disposed of safely.”
