JEFFERSON CITY — State Sen. Doug Libla, R-Poplar Bluff, shares upcoming outdoor community events with 25th District citizens in Shannon County. Twin Pines Conservation Education Center, located in Winona, offers Missourians a wide range of opportunities to hike, birdwatch, photograph nature, and other nature-related activities. Pine-oak woodlands and other forests give visitors to the conservation area access to come of Missouri's most secluded and treasured scenes.
Sites located within the conservation area include vintage logging equipment, a log cabin and an early 20th century schoolhouse — all elements that emphasize the area's rich history regarding the Ozarks' timber industry.
