Senate Interim Committee on
Capital Improvement Assessment and Planning Hearing TODAY
|
JEFFERSON CITY– As chairman of the Senate Interim Committee on Capital Improvement Assessment and Planning Committee, Sen. David Pearce, R-Warrensburg, reminds citizens about the panel’s next scheduled meeting for TODAY, July 29, 2013, at 1:00 p.m. in the Lewis and Clark State Office Building.
Committee members will hear a brief presentation from the Office of Administration (OA), followed by a tour of the Department of Natural Resources (DNR) Facility. In addition, there will be an overview of the Missouri State Penitentiary property.
The seven-member panel was established to study the needs across the state regarding Missouri’s mental health facilities, its buildings, and higher education facilities; review previously filed legislation regarding capital improvement assessment and planning; and create a cost-benefit analysis of proposed projects that includes the study of various funding mechanisms.
The committee must submit a report to the General Assembly no later than Dec. 1, 2013.
