Grant Program Supporting Environmental Projects In Our Communities
The Energizing Our Environment Micro-Grant Program, sponsored by KCP&L, provides grants ranging from $500-$3,000 to help support environmental projects throughout communities in the Kansas City area. Nonprofit organizations looking to support and promote sustainable projects for our environment should go online and fill out an application.
Examples of eligible projects include making improvements to parks and trails, planting trees in our communities, installing recycling stations throughout the community, and creating school environmental programs.
Applications must be submitted by Aug. 15, including information about what your project is, when it will take place, and how it will impact our environment. Approved projects will be posted on the KCP&L website on Sept. 3.
