Sen. Keaveny Announces Summer Job Opportunity for
Math and Science Teachers

JEFFERSON CITY—Senator Keaveny announced today the Monsanto Fund is seeking 20 to 22 math and science teachers from the St. Louis area to review grant applications from mid-May to the middle of June for the company’s America’s Farmers: Grow Rural Education program.

“I strongly encourage applicable teachers in our area to consider being a part of this effort,” said Sen. Keaveny. “Past teachers have found the work extremely rewarding, and have said it allowed them to become better grant writers and network with other educators. It’s an exciting summer job opportunity for teachers in our area.”

Selected teachers would be expected to read 100 proposals during the one-month time period, with 25 percent of them being completed each week. Selected applicants must complete Proposal Review Training on May 16, 2015. Participants will receive a stipend.

Applications for the program are being accepted through Jan. 9, 2015.
