INDEPENDENCE —In the spirit of promoting healthier lifestyles and creating more involved and engaged communities, Sen. Paul LeVota, D-Independence, is pleased to host the 11th District’s 2nd Annual Health & Safety Fair on Saturday, September 6, 2014, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at HyVee, located at 1525 E. 23rd St. in Independence.
Community groups, non-profits, and government agencies will be on hand to speak with residents, answer questions, and help connect them to beneficial programs and services offered locally.
“This event is a great opportunity for citizens to learn more about the work these wonderful organizations do right here in our own community,” said Sen. LeVota. “I encourage the public to come out and get more involved.”
