JEFFERSON CITY—Saturday, Aug. 1, from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Senator Joseph Keaveny, D-St. Louis, along with the Betty Jean Kerr People’s Health Centers, will host a Back-to-School health fair. The annual event is located at 5701 Delmar Blvd., in St. Louis.
“This event helps link thousands of citizens with services they need and may not know how to access,” Sen. Keaveny said. “This is a great time of year to stress the importance of being healthy and taking care of not just ourselves but the whole family.”
Several organizations will be in attendance, offering eye and dental screenings, haircuts, car seat safety checks and more. Information will be available on managed care plans, mental health services, heart health information, good nutrition, fire safety and much more. All of the services and information are free.
“I anticipate seeing many constituents taking advantage of all we have to offer at this event,” Sen. Keaveny said. “It is free of charge and open to everyone, I truly do hope each person leaves armed with the tools and information they need to lead a healthier life.”
