November/December 2011 - In this edition of Missouri Legislative Update, we preview the 2012 legislative session and discuss legislation that was prefiled for the new year. Also, we highlight the work of several interim committees, preview new procedural changes in the House, and take a look at a special holiday concert held in the Capitol Rotunda.

September/October 2011 - In this episode of Missouri Legislative Update, we highlight the First Extraordinary Session of the 96th General Assembly and veto session. We also take a look at the 2013 fiscal year budget as well as the work of interim committees in the Senate. Also, we highlight the 10th anniversary of 9/11 with a ceremony held in the State Capitol.


July/August 2011 - This new episode of Missouri Legislative Update features several pieces of legislation that are now enacted into law, the governor's call for special session, and a preview of veto session. We also highlight the work of several interim committees and what lawmakers are doing to address recent natural disasters throughout the state. We also travel to the city of Joplin, where several lawmakers help residents during cleanup efforts.

May/June 2011 — In this episode of Missouri Legislative Update we highlight the final days of the First Regular Session of the 96th General Assembly.  We also take a closer look at several key pieces of legislation passed during session.  This includes measures dealing with voter identification, abortion, redistricting, transportation, firearms and drug testing for welfare recipients.

April 2011 — In the fourth episode of Missouri Legislative Update, lawmakers approve and send several measures to the governor for his signature.  Also, the Senate and House of Representatives approve a $23.2 billion state operating budget before the constitutional deadline of Friday, May 6.  Plus, we take a look at how a new addition to the Missouri River Bridge in Jefferson City was made possible by lawmakers and a family of special donors.

March 2011 — This month on Missouri Legislative Update, we highlight several proposed bills as they travel through the General Assembly, including measures relating to dog breeding, human rights, minimum wage, abortion and employee unions.  We also highlight work done by lawmakers during the first half of the First Regular Session of the 96th General Assembly.  Also, we introduce Missouri’s newest state senator and take a look at session through the eyes of freshman representatives.

February 2011 — This month on Missouri Legislative Update, lawmakers continue the 2011 legislative session by working on several bills designed to create economic development, and require photo identification for voting, as well as proposed measures regarding text messaging while driving and English only drivers' tests. We also take a look back at the 1911 State Capitol fire.  That and more in the February issue of our program.

January 2011 — In the first episode of Missouri Legislative Update for 2011, the Senate and House of Representatives begin a new legislative session, you'll see lawmakers' reaction to the governor's State of the State address, legislators start their work on crafting the Fiscal Year 2012 state budget, and members work on a way to "reboot" state government.
