Current Bill Summary

SCS/SB 377 - This act requires the Department of Health to report on participating provider contracts between managed care organizations and physicians. Reports must be submitted to the General Assembly by January 31 of each odd-numbered year and must include information on contractual provisions, financial incentives, or other restrictions. "Managed care organization" is defined and sanctions may be assigned for failure to comply with this act.
