Current Bill Summary

HCS/SS/SCS/SJRs 1 & 4 - This proposed constitutional amendment would, if approved by the voters, repeal current legislative term limits and impose limits of 12 consecutive years in either house of the General Assembly. Time served after January 5, 1994, shall be counted. Service to complete the term of another person shall not be counted. The proposal shall be submitted to voters at the April, 2002 municipal election.

This resolution is similar to SJR 31 (2000).
