AN ACT
To amend chapter 67, RSMo, by adding thereto one new section relating to the collection of sales tax revenue on behalf of certain sports authorities.
Section A. Chapter 67, RSMo, is amended by adding thereto one new section, to be known as section 67.642, to read as follows:
67.642. The state's portion of all sales tax revenue collected pursuant to sections 144.010 to 144.525, RSMo, when generated by sales inside, on the grounds of, or for tickets to any event in, any sports complex located in any county of the first classification with a charter form of government and having a population of more than six hundred thousand but less than nine hundred thousand inhabitants, provided that such complex is under the jurisdiction of any sports complex authority created pursuant to sections 64.920 to 64.950, RSMo, shall, subject to appropriation, be placed in the convention and sports complex fund established pursuant to section 67.639, for the sole purpose of maintenance and refurbishment of such complex. Such moneys shall be in addition to any amount appropriated pursuant to section 67.641 to any convention and sports complex fund created pursuant to section 67.639.
