AN ACT
To repeal section 105.010, RSMo 2000, relating to public officers, and to enact in lieu thereof one new section relating to the same subject.
Section A. Section 105.010, RSMo 2000, is repealed and one new section enacted in lieu thereof, to be known as section 105.010, to read as follows:
105.010. 1. All officers elected or appointed by the authority of the laws of this state shall hold their offices until their successors are elected or appointed, commissioned and qualified. The governor shall, within thirty days after an appointive officer's term expires or an officer resigns, appoint a successor.
2. When a governor is re-elected to a second term, the governor shall resubmit, for the advice and consent of the senate, the appointments of all appointive officers who serve at the pleasure of the governor and whose offices are full-time, salaried positions.
