Committee Purpose: The purpose of the committee shall be to examine policies affecting Missouri businesses, large and small, and their employees. The committee will receive testimony from interested parties and formulate legislation to improve Missouri's business climate and grow the state's economy. Specific areas of discussion will include: environmental regulations and their effect on commerce; potential workers' compensation reform; identifying needed regulatory reforms; a comprehensive energy policy and a stable energy supply; the availability of a skilled workforce and efforts to revitalize business in depressed areas.
