Sen. Michael R. Gibbons, a Republican, represents part of St. Louis County in the Missouri Senate.
Sen. Gibbons served as the Assistant Minority Floor Leader for the House of Representatives. In addition to his legislative duties, he is a lawyer.
Sen. Gibbons is a member of the following organizations: Grace Church in Kirkwood, Kirkwood Kiwanis Club, Kirkwood Historical Society, Circle of St. Joseph, Bonhomme Township Republican Club, and the Kirkwood Area Chamber of Commerce. He is on the board of directors for Citizens for Modern Transit and the Edgewood Children's Center. Elected as a Kirkwood city council member in 1986 and 1990, Sen. Gibbons served as deputy mayor from 1990 through 1992.
A 1977 graduate of Kirkwood High School, Sen. Gibbons received a bachelor of arts degree from Westminster College in 1981 and a juris doctorate from the St. Louis University School of Law in 1984.
Born March 24, 1959, in Kirkwood, Sen. Gibbons currently resides there with his wife Liz. They have two children: Danny and Meredith.
