SB 1028 - This act amends certain procedures in the creation
of a law enforcement district. Once a petition for creation of
such a district is filed, the act provides a process for holding
a public hearing on the proposed district. Current law allows
the owner of property or any registered voter within the proposed
district to object to the proposed district, but does not require
a public hearing on the proposed district.
