AN ACT
To amend chapter 407, RSMo, by adding thereto one new section relating to labeling of bottled water.
Section A. Chapter 407, RSMo, is amended by adding thereto one new section, to be known as section 407.1410, to read as follows:
407.1410. Bottled water shall not be sold in this state unless the bottled water manufacturer provides a toll-free telephone number and Internet website address with information on:
(1) The source of the water used to manufacture the bottled water;
(2) The level of any regulated contaminants in the source water used;
(3) Any purification process used to treat the source water; and
(4) The company's compliance with applicable state and federal standards.
Each container of bottled water sold shall include the toll-free telephone number and Internet website address on the label.
