AN ACT

To amend chapter 162, RSMo, by adding thereto one new section relating to intra-school district transfer policies.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Missouri, as follows:

Section A. Chapter 162, RSMo, is amended by adding thereto one new section, to be known as section 162.1190, to read as follows:

162.1190. The school board of each school district with multiple attendance centers shall, no later than July 1, 2004, develop, and make available to the public, a policy regarding the transfer of that school district's students to other schools within the district. School districts that do not maintain a policy regarding the transfer of that school district's students to other schools within the district are exempt from the provisions of this section.
