HAZELWOOD FORD PLANT BILL SPONSOR TO ATTEND BILL SIGNING

JEFFERSON CITY -- State Sen. John Loudon, R-West St. Louis County, sponsor of Senate Bill 620, economic development legislation which provides a variety of incentives to the Ford Motor Co. to keep its assembly plant in Hazelwood open, will be on hand as the governor signs the legislation into law at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, June 18, at the UAW Hall, 9144 Pershall, Hazelwood.

"For the St. Louis metropolitan area, this was probably the single most important bill to be signed this session," said Loudon. "It is much easier to keep a client than it is to win over a new one. If Ford does leave, it will leave a hole that will be extremely difficult to fill."
