HCS/SB 1259 - This act allows nonresidents born after
January 1, 1984, to operate a vessel on the lakes of this
state with a temporary boater education permit. The permit
may be obtained from the State Water Patrol by completing and

Water Patrol. The permit shall expire if the nonresident
obtains a permanent identification card or 30 days after its
issuance, whichever occurs first. A $10 fee will charged for
the temporary permit. Upon successful completion of the test
and prior to renting a vessel, the business entity responsible
for giving the examination shall collect and forward the fees
to the Missouri State Water Patrol. Business entities
administering the examination shall not incur any liability
for its administration. The temporary boater permit provision
