Current Bill Summary

SB 1367 - This act makes certain students eligible for in-state tuition, regardless of a student's immigration status. If a student has attended high school for two or more years in Missouri and has graduated from a Missouri high school or achieved the equivalent of a high school diploma in-state, and, if an alien, has filed an affidavit stating intent to become a permanent resident of the United States at the earliest opportunity, the student qualifies for in-state tuition. These students may be counted for apportionment purposes by community college districts as full-time equivalent students. Student information obtained in implementing the bill must be kept confidential. Students may transfer between institutions and keep their in-state tuition status.

This act is similar to HB 1506.
