SB 853 - This act limits government contracting when
personal information of Missouri residents is involved to
companies within the United States. The act prevents the state
from contracting with a foreign company that intends to gather
personal information (beyond the name, address, and phone number)
of a Missouri resident and use that information in the
performance of the contract. The prohibition extends to
subcontractors as well.
