SB 761 - This act renames Southwest Missouri State University as Missouri State University.

Further, the act specifies that costs incurred from altering the names of the state institutions contained in that section shall not be paid from state appropriations.

Lastly, this act alters the composition of the governing board of the renamed Missouri State University from eight members to ten.

This act is similar to SB 217 (2003).
