SB 230 – This act modifies the distribution of the $150 surcharge in all criminal drug cases. Of the $150, $10 will be payable to the county where the case is filed and $10 will be payable to the prosecuting attorney training fund in the county where the case is filed. Further, the act eliminates the requirement that a crime lab must make an analysis of a controlled substance in order for the surcharge to be assessed and collected.JIM ERTLE
