SB 297 - This act allows non-certified employees of the metropolitan school district to be removed if the employee is convicted of a state or federal crime or if the employee is incompetent. Further, the act alters the metropolitan school district’s procedures with regard to the termination hearing process for employees subject to removal. The act allows the board to appoint a hearing officer in order to hear such cases. DONALD THALHUBER
