SB 967 - Under current federal and state law, executive, administrative, professional, and computer employees who earn at least $455 per week on a salary or fee basis, are exempt from receiving overtime wages. Minimum wage earners are also exempt under current law. This act raises the minimum compensation requirements for executive, administrative, professional and computer employees to $525 per week, and removes the exemption for minimum wage workers.
