Current Bill Summary

SB 1193 - This act allows the General Assembly to appropriate state funds to the Missouri Housing Development Commission for the purpose of providing grants to qualified neighborhood housing agencies. The qualified neighborhood housing agencies may use such funds to pay basic operating expenses. The act delineates the criteria the neighborhood housing agencies must meet in order to obtain a grant.

The act also provides that the General Assembly may appropriate state funds to the Missouri Housing Development Commission for the purpose of assisting local community housing development organizations in obtaining certain federal grants.
