SB 404 - Current law provides that a retired member of the Missouri state employees' retirement system who is elected or appointed to any state office, or is employed in certain departmental positions, shall cease to receive an annuity and shall be considered a new employee with no prior creditable service who must begin accruing creditable service anew in order to be eligible for an annuity. This act provides that such member must accrue creditable service continuously for at least one year before becoming eligible for an annuity. This act is identical to HB 395 (2007).
