SS/SCS/SJRs 34 & 30 - Upon voter approval, this constitutional amendment creates an exception to the prohibition against laws retrospective in operation by allowing the sexual offender registry laws, any law restricting sex offenders from residing within a certain distance of a school or child-care facility, and any laws requiring felons to have a biological sample collected for purposes of DNA analysis, to be applied retrospectively. This act is similar to SCS/SJRs 9 & 17 (2007).
