HCS/HB 1883 - Public an private employers are barred from terminating an employee in relation to the employee's activation to a national disaster response by the Federal Emergency Management Agency. Employers may charge against the employee's regular pay, any time lost due to the activation and may request a written statement documenting the response to the emergency. Employees shall make reasonable efforts to notify the employer that he or she may be absent or late. CHRIS HOGERTY
