SB 1191 – This act authorizes school boards of school districts located in Clay County to enter into an agreement with the county, a city, a town, or village that is wholly or partially located within the boundaries of the school district to acquire, construct, improve, extend, repair, remodel, or finance sites, buildings, facilities, furnishings, and equipment for the school district's educational purposes. The act describes methods for the school district to obtain an ownership interest in such facilities, including joint ventures. The school district may spend funds from its general or incidental funds without being subject to deductions from funds payable to the district under the foundation formula. This act is identical to HB 1735 (2008).
