SCR 40 - This resolution urges the U.S. Congress and the Consumer Product Safety Commission to enact regulations that strengthen incentives for use of ASTM International's furniture safety standard for furniture tip-over hazards, use of warning labels on tip-over risks for certain furniture and appliances, use of wall anchoring devices on certain furniture and appliances, and for promoting public education on furniture tip-over dangers and prevention methods. This resolution is similar to HCR 25 (2008).
