SCS/SB 804 – This act allows the State Auditor to audit any school district in the state in the same manner as it may audit any agency of the state if requested by a majority vote of the school board. The school district may request an estimate of the cost of an audit from the State Auditor prior to a school board vote. The school district must reimburse the State Auditor for the audit's actual cost. No school district can be audited under these provisions more than once in any three calendar years or fiscal years. Similar provisions are contained in SB 1066 (TAT).
