SB 6 - Currently, the city mayor presides over the city council, but only votes in case of a tie. Under this act, the mayor shall vote: 1) where the vote of the council has resulted in a tie, 2) where one-half of the council elected have voted in favor of an ordinance, resolution, or motion even though there is no tie vote, or 3) where a vote greater than a majority of the council is required.SUSAN HENDERSON MOORE
