SB 653 - This act prohibits any person convicted of a felony sexual offense under Chapter 566, RSMo, against a victim less than seventeen years of age, from being allowed to participate in the one hundred twenty day "shock incarceration program" in the Department of Corrections and being granted probation upon completion. Currently, only persons convicted of certain unclassified and Class A felony sexual offenses against children are prohibited from participating in the program and being granted probation upon completion. This act is identical to SB 112 (2009).
