HCS/SB 581 - This act relates to elections. This act allows the city council of a third or fourth class city to submit a question to a vote of the people as an advisory referendum. If a majority of the voters vote in favor of the question, it shall be used only to indicate the preference of the voters and shall not have the force and effect of law.
This act requires election judges, in their oath, to swear to support and defend the Constitution of the United States and Missouri.
This act repeals the provision requiring each party emblem to be printed on the ballot above the party caption.
This act is similar to provisions of SS/SCS/SB 580 (2010) and SS/SCS/HCS/HB 1290 (2010).
