SB 731 - This act allows circuit courts to use private probation services to supervise individuals who have committed a Class C or Class D felony at the discretion of the sentencing court. Currently, private entities can only be used to supervise individuals who are on probation for misdemeanor offenses. This act also increases the maximum amount per day that an offender can be required to pay for private probation services. The amount is increased from $50 to $65. This act is similar to HB 1746 (2010).
