SB 1035 - Under current law, blood donors older than sixteen years of age do not need to acquire parental consent in order to donate blood. This act requires those who are both sixteen and seventeen years of age to obtain parental consent. This act also requires the Department of Health and Senior Services to create a parental consent form that informs parents of donor risks and safety precautions. ADRIANE CROUSE
